The African Grand Lodge
African Grand Lodge of Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, is a duly constituted Masonic lodge operating under the Constitution and authority of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. The Lodge works within the jurisdiction of the District Grand Lodge of Central and East Africa (Scottish Constitution) and adheres strictly to the established traditions and regulations of Scottish Freemasonry.
The Lodge received its charter on December 3, 1946, having satisfied all constitutional requirements of the Grand Lodge of Scotland in Edinburgh. Since its constitution, African Grand Lodge has conducted its Masonic work in accordance with the Ancient Landmarks, Constitutions, and Regulations governing lodges under the Scottish Constitution.
Operating under the principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, the Lodge provides a structured environment for Masonic education, fellowship, and charitable activity. All meetings, communications, and visiting arrangements are conducted in accordance with established Masonic protocol through the Lodge Secretary and the District Grand Lodge.

The Squire program
The Squire program introduces young boys under 12 across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania to the values of leadership, character development, and community service through age-appropriate activities and mentorship. Named after Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, this youth initiative prepares participants for future leadership roles while instilling principles of integrity, compassion, and civic responsibility. Through engaging educational programs, sports, and community projects, Squires develop lifelong skills and friendships that strengthen their communities throughout East Africa.
